Pratiche di diversità, equità e inclusione nelle organizzazioni non profit e dell’economia sociale: approfondimenti da uno studio esplorativo

Purpose: Questo studio mira a indagare come le organizzazioni non profit interpretano e implementano i principi di Diversità, Equità e Inclusione (DEI) a livello organizzativo, esaminando gli strumenti, le politiche e le pratiche adottate e la loro integrazione nei processi di accountability e comunicazione.
Design/metodologia/approccio: È stato adottato un approccio qualitativo basato su studi di caso multipli, articolato in due fasi, condotto in un’importante regione del centro Italia, un’area dinamica con organizzazioni non profit ed economie sociali resilienti e prospere. La prima fase prevede un’analisi dei contenuti dei bilanci sociali, mentre la seconda consiste in interviste semi-strutturate ai dirigenti delle organizzazioni selezionate.
Risultati: I risultati confermano che le organizzazioni non profit rappresentano un contesto unico per studiare le pratiche DEI, poiché i principi di diversità, equità e inclusione sono parte integrante della loro missione sociale. Sebbene l’analisi documentale rifletta solo parzialmente questo aspetto, mostrando una limitata integrazione e una comunicazione non efficace dei principi DEI, le interviste forniscono evidenze più precise e approfondite del loro effettivo ruolo e della loro applicazione pratica nelle operazioni quotidiane.
Implicazioni pratiche: I risultati offrono spunti per i leader delle organizzazioni non profit su come progettare e implementare efficacemente strategie DEI, sottolineando l’importanza di politiche formali accanto a iniziative culturali e comportamentali.
Implicazioni sociali: Rafforzare la DEI contribuisce a rendere le organizzazioni non profit più eque e reattive, consolidando fiducia, legittimità ed erogazione dei servizi a comunità diversificate.
Originalità/valore: Questo studio contribuisce a un ambito ancora poco esplorato, quello della DEI nel settore non profit, evidenziando il ruolo dei consigli direttivi nel tradurre i principi DEI in pratiche operative e offrendo un quadro di riferimento per futuri studi sugli esiti organizzativi.
